I've been waiting to make that joke for SO long! This here is coprolite, otherwise known as fossilized dinosaur poop. This cab was cut by me from a very small slab about the size of my palm. I have made one cab before this from it, and I have one small piece left but it doesn't have the patterns that this one does. This piece has some of the nicest patterns of any coprolite I have ever seen. Of course I had to make it into a heart!
Coprolite like this piece, with the cool patterns and colors, was formed by the agatization of the dinosaur poop over millions and millions of years. Agatized coprolites are specifically petrified by silica, creating colorful, glassy, gemstone-like specimens. They are rare, requiring quick mineralization to avoid decomposition. Give that special someone something they'll never forget! A rare poop!
This piece is wrapped in bare copper and will come with a 24" copper plated chain. Bare copper will patina over time, but you can polish it up using any jewelry polishing pad or cloth.
