89-Bed Thunder Egg

Here we have a lovely marquis of what was sold to me as “89-bed thunder egg”. Now I’ve tried to do research on what that is, but so far my efforts have proven fruitless. I thought initially it was the number of the bed or claim where they were found, and that still may be true but ai haven’t found anything on it. Regardless, it seems to refer to a very specific style and quality of thunder egg that is beautiful blue chalcedony with brecciated jasper of some kind, usually in this yellowy color. This material came from Oregon, and I cut this stone myself. It is smaller pendant as you can see from my fingers. Super cute!
