Cherry Creek Jasper (cut by me)

Cherry creek jasper is a colorful, patterned stone mined in Mainland China at the Cherry Creek mine near the Red River, first discovered around 2010. I was going to make a comment about how that was pretty recent, but then I realized that was 16 years ago…

I cut this cabochon from a particularly beautiful orangey red sunset looking chunk of cherry creek. This material has several different types pf patterns. I thought the colors looked best in the bare copper, and it will come with a 24” copper plated chain.
