Faceted Sonoran Dendritic Rhyolite

Here we have a piece of Sonoran dendritic rhyolite from Sonora, Mexico. This material was discovered only in 2009, and not much is known about how it formed but it is believed to be an altered dolomite that was heated, fractured, and resealed by volcanic activity. It is a softer and somewhat porous stone so take care that you do not leave it in your purse or pocket or something.

This piece was cut by me and will come with your choice of 18 or 24" stainless steel chain. Just write in the cart comments which you prefer. Chain will be 24" by default. All silver colored wire is a silver plated enameled non tarnish wire with a copper core. No need to polish.
