Orthoceras Fossil with Garnet

This is my last piece of orthoceras fossil. These are fossilized squids that are millions of years old. I don’t see these in cabochon form very often. This one had a little divot in the front, which I utilized by placing a bead inside. It is a tiny faceted garnet, which I secured using a little bit of E6000 and a single wire. I think it came out pretty neat! It’s definitely unique.

All silver wire is a silver plated enameled non-tarnish wire with copper core, unless otherwise noted as sterling.
