Thunder Egg Agate (cut by me)

$55.00 USD

Here's a really cool pendant made with a thunder egg stone! Thundereggs are nodule-like volcanic rocks, similar to geodes, formed within rhyolitic ash layers when mineral-rich fluids fill gas cavities with agate, chalcedony, jasper, or opal. They are found all over the place and each "bed" of them can look wildly different. This one has some cool lines on it, and those are water lines. Most thunder eggs were formed millions of years ago, some even pre-dating dinosaurs! The water lines on this stone were formed when water was inside the rock and it formed layers of minerals over a very long period of time. It's like looking back into the past longer than any of us can fathom. So grab a little piece of history, a stone cut and wrapped by me.

This piece is wrapped in the black enameled wire and will come with a matching a 24" black chain by default, but since I have this chain in bulk you can let me know in the cart comments how long you'd like it to be or if you would like an 18" black wax cord necklace.
